Cancellation Policy

The following cancellation policy applies when cancelling coached lessons:

100% credit if cancelled 14 days or more before the activity begins

70% credit if cancelled 7 days before the activity

50% credit if cancelled 48 hours before the activity

No credit if cancelled less than 48 hours before the activity

If cancelling more than two weeks before the scheduled date, the lesson can be cancelled online and full credit will automatically be added to the account. If cancelling later, a cancellation request must be sent by email and any applicable credit will be applied to the account.

Hippo in the Bathtub reserves the right to cancel coached lessons if staff availability changes or if a pool is unable to safely operate for a shift. We will work with affected clients to find a reasonable alternative. Cancellations for these reasons will result in a full account credit being provided. Refunds for account credit can be requested but will follow our refund policy.

The following cancellation policy applies when cancelling group sessions (the activity start date is the first class in the session):

100% credit if cancelled 14 days before the session start

80% credit if cancelled 7 days before the session start

60% credit if cancelled 72 hours before the session start

No credit after 72 hours before the session start

For drop-in group classes, no credit is provided for missed lessons.

100% credit until 14 days before the party

80% credit until 7 days before

60% credit until 3 days before

Cancelling less than 3 days before may not receive credit

Credits remain on the client account and can be used toward another aquatic centre service.

If a refund is requested for account credit:

Refunds are issued minus a 25% administration fee

Refunds are final and cannot be reversed

One make-up credit allowed per swimmer per session

Absence notice must be emailed before the class

Make-up classes must occur within the same session
