Hippo in the Bathtub offers swimming lessons serving Ottawa. Lesson types are coached lessons, low-ratio group classes, and specialty classes, along with birthday parties.

Coached lessons are for swimmers who require one-on-one instruction, need a quieter learning environment, or have a specific area of interest to work on. Low-ratio group classes are for children and adults who are able to learn in a group setting. Specialty classes include aquafitness classes, mermaid classes, baby classes, and more. Birthday parties are pool parties at our Aquatic Centre.

Our Swim Like a Hippo program has seven levels for ages 4 months to 14 years, from Koala to Hippo: Koala, Hedgehog, Flamingo, Penguin, Capybara, Tiger, and Hippo. Through the seven levels, swimmers will go from learning to be comfortable in the pool to being able to perform five strokes and a number of water safety, lifesaving, & survival skills.

Adult swim lessons are also available. Our senior and junior coached lessons are perfect for swimmers over the age of 15. Our coaches will be able to customize these private lessons to match your goals.
